Clothing to suit the natural world
It would be expected that anyone keen to look into the world of new natural medicines would also be keen to look at natural fibres for clothing. This is very much the case and despite the introduction of plenty of man made fibres, the wearer of the clothes made from natural origins
will point to some basic facts.
The most obvious is that wool is the best material for keeping warm and the woolly sheep of New Zealand are maybe the best in the world for keeping people warm. The excellent mohair goat of Mongolia does likewise and whilst this sturdy animal is just another beast in the region of China, the west pays high prices for suits made from a mix of wool and mohair.
The lightweight cottons made from the natural cotton ball in the southern states of America has kept us cool in hot climates for centuries whilst the silks of the northern Indian states and Thailand are woven from the simple silk worm which inhabits those regions. There is no case at all for using man made materials other than cost. The sad fact is that clothing made from the polyesters and similar materials is next to useless for keeping warm or cool but is cheap to produce and does a job.
So the person who takes notice of new natural medicines will also be looking at the latest fashions using wool, silk, mohair and cotton. It may cost a little more, but then it will last much longer than its cheap counterpart.
